I am no longer sure that condemning is enough anymore. Muslims have to be more proactive in tackling the problem of extremism and intolerance that exists within their communities and mosques, otherwise, these condemnations are just empty words. I am tired of hearing " this is not Islam", because apparently it is Islam for some. I am afraid that this is the world that my children and grandchildren will grow up in. A world where a subway ride to a movie could end in death.

Thank you. I am a British Christian, with many Muslim friends, and know that what you say is true, and that such extremists are not representative of Islam. I have dropped by your blog from time to time, and appreciate your perspectives and insights. God bless you.

Thank you for your post and the upcoming collection of posts on the London terrorist bombings.

My prayers are not only with those killed, hurt or family/friends of victims, but with those who insist on spreading hate, rather than peace and love.

May the day come soon when all live in peace and harmony, accepting and embracing all.

I appreciate your blog. I've referenced it on my blog today. I pray for all victims of violence.
