Last week was Eid al-Adha, the Feast of the Sacrifice. Please consider giving to Heifer International. I missed blogging it last week since I was at a wedding, and they didn't serve goat.
I had a hard time with celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, with true joy this year because I felt like I broke my fast during the month. In October 2006 a plane went into a building in NY less than 1/2 a mile from where I live (I could see the building from my window). My first thought was not for the people who have been hurt, but that I wished it wasn't Muslims involved. The terrorists have succeeded in spoiling the pleasure of being Muslim. Please don't tell me that what they do is for the benefit of Islam.
