Essentially, OBL is alive and kicking, and we get the tape just before election day. Does that support the idea the OBL wants Kerry to win, or that Bush failed in trying to capture him? (I think one of these options is only possible if you don't live in a reality-based world.)

You're kidding, right? Using UBL's words to criticize Bush? As if 7 minutes would have made a difference. Even a partisan dolt like Michael Moore didn't go so far as to suggest the outcome would have been different had Bush raced to the "situation room."
The truth is that we were beaten badly to the punch on Sept 11. We haven't been beaten since. Ask yourself if it's merely coincidence that US civilians haven't been successfully attacked since 9/11.
I intend to vote for John Kerry because he's not George Bush. However, I still have my doubts that Kerry will be able to keep the "blame America first and only" wing of the Democratic party in check.
